WELCOME TO THE
TMO Bar & Grill. MULTIPLAYER MOVIEMAKERS & MOD SITE TM2UT
- wtf?
What is TM2UT, and why do I think it's so cool? Being a big TM & machinima fan, I found the only thing lacking in TM was action scenes. As a UT2004 fan, I found the only thing lacking was a reason. So began the process of converting TM characters & sets into UT2004 format, so users could film the action of the characters in their TM movie doing anything a normal UT2004 character can do... fly spaceships & helicopters, shoot machineguns, rocket launchers and way more. Once I began making overlay animations for TM movies, I realized that ANY rendering engine might be used for the purpose. so why not one that has everything sorta 'set up' for me, instead of having to build animations from screatch in a 3D animation program. Continuity is important inmovies of any kind, and the only obstacles to it are converting characters and sets... how hard can that be? lol! UT2004 has another great bonus - it's playable online with up to 32 people at once. A bunch of Machinima artists could congregate on a virtual set in UT2004, film all the action for the movie, and convert the scenes into overlays to finish the TM movie nicely. Your participation is welcome, your support appreciated. BONGOMAN (ON TMO) SKINZ (ON DCMF) BONGOSKINZ ON SKYPE MAXIMIZE WINDOW |
![]() TM2UT at DCMF For a long time, the TM2UT project was stagnant, because Monkeybiz modded the TM side & I modded the UT side, but he left the machinima scene to deal with real life stuff. I've always had a lot of respect for the Unreal engine so I try to learn as much as I can about that engine because this is all done in my spare time. I've always been impressed with the quality of modding done at DCMF, and finally decided to ask them if they'd like to work on the TM2UT project with me. So I've joined DCMF, and a few of us there are eagerly working on mods for UT2004, and UT3. I'm pleased to say that we have come up with some amazing ideas for the whole TM2UT conversion process, which is the most work intensive part. Check this DCMF thread for updates as they come up. |
